Visiting Our Orchard

We have a change in policy about dogs.

We hate to see dogs locked up in cars, please leave them at home if at all possible. Dogs are no longer allowed at our farm due to liability and sanitary reasons. Please understand and respect our reasoning behind this unfortunate change in policy. Thank you!

Always call ahead or check our Facebook status.

We can never stress this enough! Due to the unique nature of our business our hours often change through the seasons. We also can’t guarantee ahead of time that we will have the type of fruit you want to pick on a certain day – i.e. we may be open for strawberries and raspberries, but the blueberries got picked really hard and need a couple day to ripen up! Or peaches are running later than expected so even though we said we should have them this week, they just aren’t ready yet!

Stock up on freezer bags and jelly jars.

You don’t want them sitting in a hot car at the supermarket or waiting too long at home! Look up recipes for jams in advance to make sure you’ve got enough sugar, pectin, etc. ready to go for the freshest preserves.

Bring your own containers.

We sell the standard berry flats and quarts at our stand. If you don’t want to buy a container and you don’t have any saved from years past, you are welcome to bring any container you like – boxes, tupperware, pots, etc. Be sure to come up to the register and have your container weighed so we can subtract it from your total berry weight! We have Pick-You-Own bags available for apples, peaches and plums.

Be sure to bring your sunscreen and bug repellent.

Bugs are usually not an issue because we get a lot of wind that keeps them at bay – but not always!

Convenient payment options.

For your convenience, we take cash, Visa and MasterCard.

Berry sampling policy.

Lastly, we love kids and believe that there are few better ways than spending family time outside and at a farm and eating healthy fresh fruit and getting some exercise. However, we do ask that you help educate your children to respect how much time and effort goes into growing and maintaining a working farm. We encourage everyone to sample a few berries, but not a meals worth, or if you want to try a new apple or peach variety, try sharing it with those in your group, so later you can try another – you wouldn’t believe how many apples with single bites are left in the orchard.
